Here we display all the mapped distributions of pontine cells projecting to the A2-face, C1-forelimb, and C1-hindlimb cortical zones of the posterior cerebellum, combined. Taken together the three cell groups are seen to be distributed in one main cluster, however a clear topographical organization is observable. The cell group projecting to the facial representation occupies the central aspect of the pontine nuclei, while the cell groups projecting to the forelimb and hindlimb representations occupy gradually more caudal parts. The three cell groups are complementary in shape and share a minimal transitional region along their interfaces. Scale bars: 500 µm.
