Computer-generated 3-D reconstruction from case R119, after injection of BDA into the trunk representation of SI. The labeling in the right pontine nuclei consists of three clusters surrounding a centrally located non-labeled zone (which contains projections from perioral representations, cf. R103, R105, R106, R113). Two large clusters are shifted laterally to the center of the pontine nuclei, one is located rostrally, the other caudally. The caudal cluster is elongated in the mediolateral direction. Smaller clusters of labeling are seen close to the midline. The sparse contralateral labeling is not shown. Bar = 500 µm.
